Adam Nicolopoulos - President and Ceo

Adam Nicolopoulos founded ADN in 2007 to deliver advisory services to private and public clients on the development, financing and implementation of energy and related projects as well as transportation assets, using concession/PPP and other models of delivery and implementation. Adam advises clean energy and sustainability firms on corporate finance matters.  He also offers his expertise in seminars, teaching engagements and other types of training sessions, and he has served as an expert witness and provided other expert and due diligence services on infrastructure projects internationally.

Lisa Amini - Vice President & CFO

Lisa Amini has worked with ADN since its inception in 2007. In addition to managing ADN’s financing and corporate strategy, she provides advisory services on ADN’s private and public client engagements, ranging from commercial and financial structuring and implementation to expert witness and due diligence. Prior to working with ADN, she worked in project and asset finance first for Bechtel Enterprises in San Francisco and in London, and then as Director of Finance, in London for InterGen, a prominent international independent power project developer, owned by Bechtel and Shell at the time.

Michael Adda - Senior Advisor

Michael Adda is a Senior Advisor to ADN. He is currently Managing Director of CFAS Ltd. Michael Adda was previously an investment banker with S.G. Warburg and SBC Warburg for 20 years, including as Managing Director of S. G. Warburg & Co. (Netherlands Antilles) NV. He was Chairman of the Caribbean Trade Advisory Group for the British Government from 1992 to 1997 and Treasurer of the Caribbean Council, the Caribbean Foundation and the West India Committee from 1992 to 2000, where he continues to serve as a Trustee.

John Richter is a Senior Advisor and resource to ADN. He is currently a Principal Instructor at the specialist financial modeling and project finance firm, Financial Mechanics, and has over 20 years experience in financial modeling and infrastructure finance.

Roy Schwartz is a Senior Advisor and resource to ADN. Roy has over 30 years of experience in the renewable energy industry. He is the Director of Project Finance for Clean Power Advisors, specializing in the financing and sale of consumer and industrial, distributed generation, and utility scale photovoltaic solar, and renewable energy projects in the U.S. and Mexico, and internationally.

Alexander von Welczeck - Senior Advisor

Alexander von Welczeck is a Senior Advisor and principal resource to ADN. Alexander is an innovator and successful entrepreneur in the clean energy/clean technology and renewables industries. Scott Henderson - senior advisor

Scott Henderson works with ADN as a senior resource, providing financial advisory services to clients in the renewable energy industry. He first worked for ADN in 2007, when he helped to source equity financing for a client developing an 18MW wind power project in Europe. At that time, he also worked with ADN on a project to construct a $298 million private port in the Gulf of Mexico.

Dylan James - Advisor

Dylan James specializes in raising growth capital for companies in cleantech, food, agriculture, advanced transportation, and digital infrastructure. He has worked extensively across the US, Asia, MENA, and EU for over 20 years. In a pro bono capacity, Dylan is an advisor to Astia.org which funds women entrepreneurs.

Wesley Miller - Intern

Wesley Miller is an intern with ADN Capital Ventures, focusing on renewable energy, sustainable technology, and sustainability-related infrastructure. This internship is in concert with SFI’s Summer Fellowship Program, Stanford’s only fellowship-dedicated to enhancing the understanding and practice of sustainable finance. Stanford awarded this fellowship to Wes in June of 2021. Through this internship, Wes works to identify, analyze, and evaluate key drivers of value that attract, mobilize, and secure private capital engagement towards impact-oriented investments that improve environmental stewardship and achieve progress toward net-zero goals.

Wes is a second-year master’s student at Stanford in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department. He is focused on economically viable investments in sustainable infrastructure and clean energy. Prior to Stanford, Wes worked throughout the United States in heavy civil construction where he was extensively involved in infrastructure improvements to dams, wharves, and highways across the United States. He grew up in Maine and received his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont. Wes is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hiking, skiing, golfing, and reading.
