Mr. Sharif joined ADN in 2011 and provides analytical support in the form of financial analysis, modeling and
market research, with a specific focus on utility-scale solar PV, wind power generation and transportation infrastructure
projects. He is also currently a graduate student in the Management Science & Engineering department at Stanford University.
His coursework includes project finance, electric power, focusing on wind and solar energy system engineering,
clean energy project development, and optimization of energy systems.
Prior to joining ADN, Mr. Sharif served as a Research Analyst in the Utilities Practice Area for The Brattle
Group, an international economic consulting firm based in Cambridge, MA. While with Brattle, he consulted
public and private clients in the power sector, including major US utility companies such as Pacific Gas &
Electric, Southern California Edison, Connecticut Light & Power, and United Illuminating. His work for these
utilities and other clients included research and analysis in support of expert witness testimony in regulatory
and litigious proceedings.
Mr. Sharif also coauthored an article on the impact of informational feedback on energy consumption in
Energy, the International Journal, and provided research assistance on the U.S. nuclear energy sector to Dr.
Peter Fox-Penner (Chairman Emeritus for Brattle) for his book Smart Power.
